Deep turns, soft pillows, and a healthy dose of soulful Kootenay living since 1998.
Nestled in the Selkirk Mountains, our terrain is famous for Kootenay Coldsmoke and offers the perfect playground for advanced to expert riders who love steep trees, playful features, and ripping it up with the crew in the backcountry. We receive an average of 11–15 m (36–50 ft) of snow each season. With 11 000 acres for only 12 guests, expect endless fresh turns.
The Lodge
After a big day in the mountains, you deserve a cozy place to reset. Our lodge is boutique and authentic, a proper Canadian log cabin hidden in the forest, yet easily accessible by road.
Unwind at après, soak in the tub, hang out at the bar, and get excited for dinner our private chef has been cooking while you were ripping. Make yourself at home.
Getting to the griz
Situated in a remote spot at the north end of Kootenay Lake in the Selkirk Mountains, the lodge is off-the-beaten track, yet easily accessible. It’s just a 90-minute drive from the famous ski town of Nelson, BC. Many guests combine a trip here with a few days at Whitewater Resort. An AWD with snow tires is recommended.
The slopes at White Grizzly tip upward of 40 degrees and run almost 3,000 feet through mature evergreen timber forests that feel like a fairyland. The Washington Post
